So here is who we are, told the only honest way: by what happens between an event in the world and the moment it reaches your screen.
What we
believe.
News is not content. Not a feed, not a product, not a mood. It is a simple, serious thing: an account of what happened, told straight, while it still matters.
The industry forgot that. The page filled with everything except the news. We built NewsFirst to empty it back out. A human-led Indian newsroom built on subtraction. Less noise. More news. That is the whole idea, and it is harder to keep than it sounds.

The algorithm. You are a reader, not a profile to be optimised. Nothing here is arranged to keep you scrolling, only to keep you informed, and then let you go.
The opinion. We report what happened. What you make of it is yours. We will not hand you a conclusion dressed up as a fact.

The noise. We cut what is loud but says nothing, so the thing that matters is the only thing left.

We studied the world’s most trusted newsrooms, the rigour of the wire services, the clarity of the business dailies, the craft of the weeklies, and wrote them into house rules for Indian journalism. Not to imitate anyone. To meet their standard, in our own voice.
